15.  A 3 liter bottle of Paso Creek Cabernet Sauvignon (2006): Another bottle that's sure to please a crowd, this wine is juicy, full-bodied, densely flavored and displays vanilla and black cherry.  This all leads to a supple finish with touches of cocoa, and smiles on the faces of your guests.

16.  Three 1.5 liter bottles of Ferrari-Carano Cabernet Sauvignon:

Winemaker's Notes: Ferrari-Carano Cabernet Sauvignon comes primarily from mountaingrown fruit in Alexander Valley. Ripe black cherry aromas delight along with fresh boysenberry, spicy elements of clove, cedar and tea. Up front flavors of juicy blackberry, vanilla and cola are complemented by lingering notes of dark chocolate. This wine has excellent viscosity and smooth, pleasant structure with refined, yet generous, layers of tannin.
Blend: 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Syrah and 2% Petit Verdot, alcohol by volume: 14.5%

"This smooth, polished Cab boasts a tasty mix of forward ripe plum, black cherry and berry fruit that's easy to drink, ending with cedar, road tar and tobacco notes. Drink now through 2020. 18,250 cases made."

Critical Acclaim:
"Soft and smooth in tannins, this Cabernet is made in a drier, earthier style than many others. It displays classic blackberry and cedar flavors, and will benefit from a brief decant."
17.  A 1.5L bottle of cab from Hewitt Vineyard in Napa signed by winemaker, Tom Rinaldi

Winemaker's Notes: "With intense layers of dark fruit, bittersweet chocolate, black licorice, clove spice, mineral and cedar, this is one of Napa Valley's most voluptuous Cabernet Sauvignons. The palate is rich and complex, packed with sweet black cherry, plum and blackberry character that tones down the muscular entry. Malted cocoa powder tannins (classic Rutherford Dust) frame the expansive flavors, enhancing the wine's plush, opulent texture. The elegant, fruit-imbued finish lingers with espresso, toffee and nutmeg."

"Pair this wine with rich, robust meals, like seared beef tenderloin with shiitake mushroom sauce."
Generously donated by Jeff and Sarah Newton.
