12.  Case of Deep Sea Wine.  1/2 red and 1/2 chardonnay this wine is a stunner--both are 4 time Gold Medal Winners.  The red: shows incredibly dark purple hues reminiscent of pomegranate. The nose jumps at you with intense notes of dark red fruits including blackberry, plum, fresh bread, red meats, followed with hints of rose petal, thyme/oregano and lavender.  The white: Creamy, fresh and clean with ripe tropical fruit and a long, pure finish; stylish and balanced.  The nose shows a mix of fresh citrus, with a background of pear and apple, fresh dough and honey, all layered with some minerality. $350
13.  Another mixed case of Deep Sea.  Same description as above, also a 50/50 split between the white and red. $350
14.  A 3 Liter Bottle of 2007 Avalon Cabernet Sauvignon.  For anyone who entertains there's nothing like opening 4 bottles all at once.  This wine is sure to please as it exhibits aromas of raspberry, blackberry, mint and black cherries. Vanilla and short bread cookie notes from oak aging bring balance and frame the ripe berry flavors. Napa Valley characteristics show through with strawberries, red raspberries and a faint root beer note with quintessential Oakville dark cherries. The tannins are fine and chalky. Brought to you by Yankee Spirits, New Englands largest liquor store. $200
15.  2007 Beaulieu Vineyard Reserve Tapestry.  The deep, expressive aromas and flavors offer generous layers of black cherry, briary blackberry and cassis character. Enticing floral, licorice, forest loam and graphite nuances are revealed as the aromas open and the flavors expand across the velvety palate. Tapestry elegantly demonstrates the art of blending varietals to create a wine that combines lush, multilayered flavors with supple, graceful tannin structure. "Shows excellent structure, intensity, depth and concentration, with a mix of spice, dried currant, blackberry, mocha, cedar and licorice. Full-bodied, at points rustic and chewy, yet also elegant and refined, ending with earthy graphite tannins. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot. Best from 2011 through 2020. 18,901 cases made."

"Ravenscroft Crystal is the embodiment of old-world European craftsmanship and a modern understanding of how the composition and shape of a wine glass can significantly enhance the tasting experience."
17.  Magnum of 2002 Jordan Cabernet Sauvignon.  For those who know wines, 2002 was one of the very best years in the last 20 so this wine should be just about ready to drink now, but could also be cellared for several years to come.  The bouquet offers subtle notes of cassis, black cherry, currants and chocolate. It is a richly textured wine with lush, ripe flavors of blackberry, Bing cherry, cassis and raspberry. Slight earthy notes of tobacco and cedar and a subtle framework of oak complete this delicious wine. This is sure to be a crowd pleaser. $400

19.  3 Liter Bottle of 2006 Kendall-Jackson Grand Reserve Merlot.  Black plum, boysenberry, and cherry flavors dance amongst the violet, chocolate and cedar notes. This wine is smooth and the tannins are refined and round. In true Merlot character, this wine caresses the mouth and lingers beyond each sip.  You'll love it and so will your guests when you serve it!  Thanks once again to Tom and Yankke Spirits. $250
20.  A 3 Liter Bottle of Acacia 2006 Pinot Noir.  The deep ruby red color is an initial clue as to the power of this wine. The nose exhibits a delicate balance between primary fruit and rich, meaty, savory notes. A deep, black cherry aroma intermingles with subtle blackberry, cassis, roasted meat, wet earth and Provencal herb notes.  Generously donated by our very good friends Joan and John at the Waitsfield Wine Shoppe located on Main St. in Waitsfield.  Joan REALLY know her wine so if you haven't been in to visit you should assuredly do that. $375
21.  A 3 Liter Bottle of Bogle Petite Syrah 2008.  Full-bodied on the entry, aromas of black plum jam and toasty oak set the stage for what is to come. A final touch of acidity finishes the wine with a precisely balanced mouthfeel.  Also donated by The Wine Shoppe $275
