1.  Franklin Police Ride Along
The Franklin Police Department is offering you a chance to see if you "got what it takes!" This opportunity is not for the faint of heart. You will be given a unique chance to sit center stage with Officers and Detectives of the Franklin Police Department to "see what they see" as they patrol the streets of Franklin.
For that lucky auctioneer you will:
--Ride shot gun with Patrol Officers and observe their daily routines as they handle calls for service.
--Experience a "range day" as you stand side by side with a firearms instructor and get hands on experience shooting the various weapons systems employed by Law Enforcement.
--Tour the Franklin Police Department Headquarters
--Witness first hand a Police K9 in action as it searches for various narcotics and performs its daily training regiment.
--Visit with the Detectives and observe the various forensic tools which they utilize to solve those "cold cases."
--Ride along with members of the Narcotics Team as they conduct surveillance and interviews.
--Meet members of the Metropolitan Law Enforcement S.W.A.T. Team.
2.  Mid-week escape for Thursday April 26th to see the Alvin Ailey Dance Troup perform at Boston's Wang Center, plus a romantic night's stay in the Theatre Districts Hyatt Hotel. Generously donated by Hyatt and Lynn Newton. $450
3.  A wonderful theatre date with great orchestra seats to see "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" Weds. March 7th at the beautifully restored Boston Opera House. Donated by Lynn Newton. $225

5.  Beer for a Year from our friend, and your new best friend, Jim Koch, founder of Sam Adams. This includes a case a month of your choice, the only caveat being that you must pick the beer up at the brewery in JP. But that could be part of the fun. $450
6.  Grand Wine Tasting Dinner The great wines of the Rhone Valley with Jim Elston of Chemin des Vins and Bill Tuite Executive Chef of the University Club of Boston.

We offer a wine tasting dinner at your home in Massachusetts in the calendar year 2007 for up to ten people. We will feature a selection of the great wines of the northern and southern Rhone.
A multi-course dinner to accompany the wines will be provided by the chef of the University Club.

20.  Two Bottles of Grgich Hills Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 1997 vintage  "94 points" - Wine & Spirits - April, 2001- "Grgich made a grand '97, a massive Cabernet from start to finish, still youthful and unevolved" (Robert Parker).  Blended along the lines of a classic Bordeaux this wine has a solid base of Cabernet Sauvignon and for the 1997 vintage, 10% Merlot was added along with 4% Cabernet Franc and a dash of Petit Verdot to create a finished wine with great complexity and pinpoint balance. This wine will continue to soften and become more interesting with bottle age. Serve it along with a leg of lamb, a prime cut of beef, or store it for a special event down the road.  Either way you're sure to enjoy. $400
21.  WOW, One Magnum of Lafite Rothschild 2003. Kathleen Mastropasqua has magnanimously donated this bottle from the wine cellar of the Rothschild family--you're not finding this one in the store. Robert Parker raves about this hearty and world famous bordeaux ("Dense purple-colored, with classic notes of graphite intertwined with melted licorice, creme de cassis, smoke, and flowers, it reveals extraordinary richness, opulence, power, purity, intensity, and viscosity--a modern day version of the 1959 Lafite").  This is a real stunner that is sure to please and impress for years to come. $1,250
22.  Fine Wines of the Bordeaux Region.
Enjoy eight different bottles of Bordeaux, 2003 vintage, from the regions most prominent Chateaus. Many of the wines are Grand Cru and bottled in St. Emillion, Haut Medoc, Pomerol, St. Estephe, Pauillac, St. Julien, Margaux, and Pessac — Leognan. Also included are two Riedel Bordeaux goblets, a wine decanter and of course a book on wine.   WOW!!!
23.  A 3.0 Liter Bottle of 2000 Teruzzi & Puthod Terre di Tufi (Tuscan White).  This wine exhibits aromas of citrus, white blossom and honeydew melon. Full-bodied on the palate with a beautiful finish. Goes very well with Mediterranean style appetizers and dishes. $200
24.  A 3.0 L Bottle of Hahn Estates Cycles Gladiator Syrah 2004.  Composed of 90% syrah and 10% petite syrah this wine offers luscious jammy red fruit and plum flavors suported on a platform of soft tannins.  If you want to learn more about the wine, stop in and talk to Joan at The Wine Shop in Waitsfield who has graciously donated the wine to our cause. $175

26.  Rossignol Bandit  B1 Skis with Bindings.  Ideal for the intermediate to advanced skier who skis mostly piste terrain but likes the feel of a freeride ski.  This is a great all mountain ski very generously donated by our friend Brook at Mountainside Ski Services in Sugarbush Village.  The donated skis are 168cm in length which would work for a skier ranging in height from 5'6"-6'2".  Stop by and see them for all your rental and purchase needs during Peters FUNd Racer.
27.  Susan Weaver original oil of a Vermont Shed.  This beautiful 12" x 14" oil in a lovely gold frame exudes the warm colors of Vermont and would fit equally well in a country home or city dwelling.
28.  Susan Weaver original oil of a Vermont barn. This stunning 12" x 14"  piece of art would hang well in almost any spot and evoke the rural charm of the Vermont countryside.  Generously donated by the artist.
29.  Lobsters Our friend Pat White, veteran lobsterman and former president of the Maine Lobsterman's Association, will personally pluck a dozen, hand-selected 1 1/2 pound crustaceans (or if you prefer, 10 2lbers) from the clear, clean waters of the Gulf of Maine and ship them directly to you on ice for your summer party. They'll arrive at your door alive and kickin' and just hours from the depths of their former home in the Atlantic. Minimum two week advance notice. Not valid after September 15, 2007. Sincere thanks to Patty Fiorelli for the donation. $550
30.  Learn to Rock Climb at Metro Rock.  This package for four will teach you all you need to know about rock climbing in this state of the art climbing gym just north of Boston.  The package includes: 

Daily Rate for 4 people of any age (families with children or a group of four adults)

Basic Safety lesson (age limit 14+ for this class) taught by our very own Jay Bruno.  Or if you're already a climber then this could be a two hour private lesson with Jay.

31.  A perennial favorite--A Jo Anne Goodwin original watercolor.  This 16" x 20" painting, which is matted and framed, is of a covered bridge over the Swift river and is alive with fall foliage colors.  $250

36.  Framed and Autographed Picture of Bronson Arroyo tagging out the biggest cry baby of them all, Alex Rodriguez when A-Rod tried to jar the ball loose on his way to first base during the 2004 ALCS Series.  $300
37.  OPENING DAY RED SOX vs. SEATTLE Be part of this annual rite of passage on Tuesday, April 10 (2:05 start) while taking in the Sox game from Section 24, Box 141, Row GG, Seats 1&2. 38.  Four Red Sox Tickets to a warm weather game. Drew Hurley of The Arthur Hurley Co. has once again donated 4 awesome seats to a Red Sox game. In the 10th row right behind home plate the seats dont get much better than these. Pick a game, either weekday or weekend (Yankees and inter-league games excluded), and we'll see if the tickets are available. Game availability is subject but feel free to check before bidding if you would like.  Drew is a great guy and will bend over backwards to make a date work. $1,050
